About Us
In March 2023, our practice was acquired by our very own GP Specialist Dr Eva Morris and her husband. Dr Eva lives in St Georges Basin with her young family after developing a passion for the area. At St Georges Basin Medical Centre, we prioritise the health and wellbeing of our patients.
We recognise that seeking medical care can be a daunting and stressful experience, and we aim to create a welcoming and supportive environment that puts our patients at ease.

How do I book an appointment?
What are your consulting hours?
We are open Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm.
What is your billing policy?
We are a Universal Bulk Billing Practice. Our reception team can provide a quote in advance for any services that fall outside the standard Medicare schedule. Learn more about our Fees and Charges here
What does Universal Bulk Billing Cover?
Universal Bulk Billing
We are proud to offer Universal Bulk Billing for all patients with a valid Medicare card. This includes:
- Standard face-to-face consultations
- Telehealth (phone/video) consultations
- Chronic Disease Management (Care Plans)
- Health Assessments (including 75+, ATSI, Heart Health)
- Mental Health consultations
What services attract Private Fees?
While many of our consultations are bulk billed, some services are privately billed. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Insurance medicals, including Workers’ Compensation consultations
- Reports and documentation (pricing varies; an estimate will be provided prior to commencement)
- Pre-employment medicals
- Commercial driver’s licence medicals
- Nurse-led wound care
- All DNAs (missed appointments or appointments cancelled within 2 hours) will incur a fee
Patient file transfers
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes, we are currently accepting new patients. Availability may change to ensure our existing patients continue to receive high-quality, attentive care.
What appointment types do you offer?
We offer face-to-face, telehealth, and walk-in appointments:
- Face-to-face consultations: We aim to book you with your preferred GP where possible. If unavailable, other GPs can access your file via our shared database.
- Telehealth consultations: Booked the same way as in-person visits. Some restrictions apply - please speak with reception to see if this is suitable for your needs.
- Walk-in appointments: We keep some on-the-day slots for urgent cases. These are allocated using a triage system.
To help us stay on time:
– Ask for a longer consult if you have multiple or complex concerns
– Let reception know if more than one person is attending
– Let us know if you have forms (e.g. driver’s licence, Centrelink, insurance) or a WorkCover consult
– Call ahead to check how your GP is running if you’re short on time.
Appointment reminders are sent via SMS, or phone if you don’t have a mobile.
